PROJECT BRIEF
Develop a suite of Microsoft Word templates tfor staff to generate a range of corporate documents that are consistent in style and appearance.
Standards Australia is Australia’s peak non-government standards organisation. It is charged by the Australian Government to meet Australia’s need for contemporary, internationally aligned standards and related services.
Standards Australia required a range of templates that staff could use to produce common document types, including letters, faxes, circulars and memos. The templates retain Standards Australia’s corporate branding while allowing users to customise content.
Red Pony produced a suite of templates based on Standards Australia’s detailed brief and layout specifications.
Red Pony began the project by developing a master template that incorporated all the styles and formatting for the document suite.
Next, we created a prototype of each template based on the master version. We tested the prototype templates with different operating systems and versions of Microsoft Word to ensure compatibility.
Red Pony used Microsoft Word’s built-in forms feature to create the template for a legal deed. This solution enables users to input information specific to the document (for example, name, date and address) while preventing modification of the standard terms of the deed.
